Home Care Guide

Always use a heat protectant before styling with hot tools. Keep heat below 350°F and avoid applying direct heat to the extension bonds or tape tabs. Gently detangle from ends to roots using a soft-bristle or loop brush.

Styling

Brush hair thoroughly and secure it in a loose braid or low ponytail before bed to prevent tangling. Use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and protect the integrity of your extensions.

Sleeping

Use a sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoo and focus on gently cleansing your scalp with your fingertips. Avoid scrubbing or rough motion around the bonds or wefts. Rinse thoroughly and follow with a lightweight, hydrating conditioner on mid-lengths and ends only.

Cleansing

Gently towel blot your hair—never rub. Apply a heat protectant and blow dry your roots thoroughly before letting the mid-lengths and ends air dry. Never leave the roots of your extensions damp, as it can weaken bonds or encourage bacteria.

Drying

Before swimming, wet your hair with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner or protective oil to create a barrier. Braid your hair to prevent tangling and avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine or salt water. Rinse and cleanse your hair as soon as possible afterward.

Swimming

Avoid using chemical sunscreens containing avobenzone or oxybenzone, as they can cause extensions—especially blondes—to discolor or turn peachy. Opt for mineral-based sunscreens and wash your hands before touching your hair after applying SPF.

Sunscreen

Stick to salon-recommended, extension-safe products that are free of sulfates, parabens, and drying alcohols. Avoid applying oils, conditioners, or serums directly at the root or near the bonds to prevent slippage or buildup.
